NCP System

The Department of International S&T Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection has set up the System of National Contact Point (NCP system). The NCP system was established in the beginning of 2003 and consists of 8 National Contac Points (NCP)

The general objective of NCP system is to provide effective participation and better cooperation between our country and other European country within the Sixth Framework Programme. In accordance with this objective, the NCPs are main provider of advice and assistance for applicants wishing to participate in Sixth Framework Programme. The main activities of the NCPs are:

• Circulate general and specific documentation on the comunity RTD programmes, including on conditions for participation, and on possibilities and conditions for submission of proposals
• Organise promotional activities (e.g. seminars, conferences, newsletter and other information material, Web site, fairs, etc)
• Advise applicants regarding wide possibilities and modality of cooperation;
• Explain the scope and modalities of the whole spectrum of instruments to use in FP6 (specially the new instruments-Integrating projects-IP and Network of Excellence-NoE)
• Advice on administrative procedure and contractual issues (e.g. role, responsibility, costs, rights and obligations of contractors, respect of ethics rules, etc),
• Assist in Partner Search
